Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Amitabh Bachchan Recites Zanjeer Dialogue and Shares Inspiring Journey

Amitabh Bachchan, host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, recalled his cinematic career in another touching moment. With nostalgia and excitement, the 25th anniversary show Gyan Ka Rajat Mahotsav began today (January 20).

A Special Request from Contestant Vinay Gupta
Kathua contestant Vinay Gupta said being on the show was his dream. He praised Amitabh Bachchan and asked him to reenact his landmark dialogue from Zanjeer.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Success Story
Before satisfying Vinay’s wish, Amitabh Bachchan discussed his challenges before celebrity. He stated that he moved to Mumbai to pursue filmmaking after earning ₹400-₹500 a month in Kolkata. However, his first movie failed, discouraging him.

He planned for a backup plan and got a driving license to operate a taxi if he couldn’t find film work. After Abbas Saab gave him a chance, he landed the role in Zanjeer.

Amitabh was surprised when Salim-Javed approached him for Zanjeer, especially since Rajesh Khanna was the superstar. His career took off after the film.

The Iconic Dialogue
Amitabh uttered the famous sentence from Zanjeer as requested:Sidhi tarah khade raho, tak baithne ko na kaha jaye. Tumhare baap ka ghar nahi, police station.”

Make sure to attend the Gyan Ka Rajat Mahotsav event of Kaun Banega Crorepati for more amazing memories. Only on Sony TV, Monday through Friday at 9:00 PM starting January 20.
